How did I not post my child's FIRST Christmas????

I love Christmas so much and hate that it is looked down upon to keep your tree/lights up all year round. It is such a fun time of year (minus shopping..I tend to wait until the last minute which leads to major anxiety..). I LOVE Christmas! and Emily does too...she had no clue what was going on but she slept in Christmas pjs all month and listened to 104.5 the River way more than she probably wanted to. She listened to the story of Baby Jesus and The Night before Christmas (she absolutely didn't listen, but I read on anyway). Santa and everyone else just spoiled her rotten. I am pretty sure that Santa bought way too much for an 8 month old who will have no recollection of receiving presents, but he had to do it. Here is an array of Christmas photos...months late. This is starting to become a pattern.

 Christmas is hard work..

NINE months....LATE again!

This nine month old (almost 10 months) we have over here is a sneaky little monkey.  She is crawling everywhere and pulling up on anything she can get her little hands on.  Mobility is a BIG change...and will also make you realize that cleaning/vacuuming should be done much more often.  Emily enjoys finding anything on the floor to put in her mouth and has also figured out that dog bowls are so much fun to bang on the tile floor.  Bella and Bailey have always loved sweet Emily, but now that she is basically like one of them, they are a little hesitant to get in her reach.  Today, I sat in the floor in the living room and watched Emily crawl after Bella and try to pull the toy out of poor Bella's mouth.  She was successful and Bella did not appreciate it.  So, they started their first tug of war game.  Aaah, sisters...

Emily has finally started to somewhat like baby food and little snacks..trying to feed a baby that refuses to eat is just a tiny bit frustrating.  Another big change involves Emily and her addiction to the paci.  Day care has decided they are going to try to wean these babies off of the lovely pacifier because not only do they want theirs, but they want to take the paci from their friend's mouth as well. Little GERMS. She will most definitely still get it at naps and at night..I love that pacifier just as much as she does.

9 month stats...
Weight-17.8, 25th%
Height-28 inches long, almost 75th%

My child, so far, is tall and skinny. She in no way got that from her Mama.

This coaster made just about every picture.....it was a must, if I wanted a single snapshot of this busy child.

Uh oh...we may be in trouble at 10 months...

Emily and Skye

My cousin from Texas, who I have not seen in YEARS, came in town a couple of weeks ago with her adorable chunky monkey. Skye is about 3 weeks older than Emily..so it was fun to see the two of them interact. It was SO good to see them both..here are some pictures, and please note the size difference in these cuties..it was hilarious to put them side by side!

SNOW?!

We never get snow..it's always ice, which is obviously no fun to play in. At the young age of 8 1/2 months, Emily could care less what is covering the ground outside. But, I get super excited..especially since I am not working in the hospital anymore and actually get to enjoy a SNOW day!

I have never, to my recollection, built a snowman...ever. My first attempt today ended up with a snowbaby who looked like she could possibly be on a diet (she should share her tips with me..she is looking pretty slim)...but, all in all, I think she turned out pretty cute. Emily just stared at her probably thinking..give me that paci, now.

EIGHT months

Emily, you are now a big 8 months old (and you have still managed to bless your mother with baby weight..thanks). You are a ball of personality..and keep us all entertained on a daily basis. You are not a big fan of eating ANYTHING, but last night you did decide to pick up puffs and put them in your mouth..without spitting them out! Impressive. On Christmas day, you took a couple of steps crawling, but for the most part you are still just rocking and rocking.
Bless your little heart, you have had two rounds of ear infections in each ear..not fun for you and not fun for your sleep deprived parents. I really hope tubes are not in our future.

Words:da da da da da da da is your favorite. Your Italian style maaa-ma has not been heard in a couple of weeks...I have to say, I am a little upset about this. You can clap, wave bye bye, and find the light. You are the happiest baby ever, as long as someone is in your face constantly entertaining you..high maintenance? Well, you do have some Taylor in you, so I shouldn't be surprised.
Ooops, Emily turns 9 months in 3 days...I wrote this blog a while back but I tried to upload the pictures differently..and messed it all up..talk about stressful. I thought I deleted my entire blog.

So Long, My Masterpiece..

Bailey is our curious child. She wants a taste of anything in her reach and has destroyed quite a few belongings such as bottle nipples, pacifiers, heels, razorblades, christmas tree lights..you get the picture. No matter how many times she gets in trouble, the list of her chew toys gets longer. We have just come to accept the fact that she is special. Today, she added to her list.

So, here it is. My Halloween masterpiece...destroyed. In Bailey's defense, I did leave the box of dress up clothes (yes, I have one of those) on the floor, while I was attempting to clean out the closet.
Bailey girl..in trouble. Doesn't she look like she feels bad??

Santa Claus is Coming to Town....

We paid a visit to Santa today..and got in trouble for going on a Monday. Nanny and Memmy were not too happy we went while they were at work. Sorry girls, but we do NOT go to the mall on Saturdays in December! Emily was pretty good..she kind of just stared at him and was very serious the whole time. She had a mini meltdown at one point, but quickly recovered. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Serious face

What's all that on your face, Mr.?

Meltdown

Look at Harrison reaching for Emily's hand saying, "It will be over soon, Em".
