Birthday Bash..Part 1

My parents recently moved and now have the perfect deck for a party...so obviously, it was Emily's job to test this area out. We had a small, sweet, girly, vintage 1st birthday for her and I think it turned out just perfect.  Even though this was a SMALL birthday party, I felt like I was planning a wedding reception...and of course I had been planning it since her birth.

My Mom's antique pink chair..Yes, I made my parents move it to the deck.

Grandma Jane's beautiful highchair that was used by her, Aunt Jessica, and Daddy

Yummy food..we used antique lace table cloths..one made by Emily's Great Grandmother

You just can't go wrong with a Muddy's cupcake

Birthday Girl

On April 19, 2010, Emily Claire Chittick made her grand entrance into this world on her actual due date...scheduled to be induced the next day, but Emily was ready on her own. An entire year ago?? I'm not sure I believe this. What a funny, dramatic little girl we have..she is quite a character. So on April 19th this year we celebrated our sweet girl's first birthday..I'm not going to lie, I also celebrated that this year on the 19th..I can see my ankles and I am not the size of a small mansion. What better way to celebrate this than Gibson's donuts and Mexican for dinner?

Slightly grumy birthday girl...
There's a little grin behind that paci
So this is all for Emily, right?

Nan called early to wish me a Happy Birthday
Off to school!

Yes, this sweet child is addicted to a pacifier..and so are her parents.

A wonderful, nutritious dinner to end my 1st birthday.
