Trick or Treat!
Last minute plans to dress up required a last minute costume change for Emily. She obviously could not dress as a puppy if we were both wearing 70's costumes! So, I made the girl an afro wig. It took a little while, but the result was well worth it. I was crying when I put that wig on her..literally, could NOT stop laughing. She just stared at me with confusion. Emily, you will thank me one day for these pictures. You're welcome.

Lunch Date and Pictures
I just love lunch dates with old friends. I love how we always just pick up right where we left off. We missed one of our regulars this month, but hopefully we will just get together sooner! One of my high school friends has an 18 month old DOLL...and I just met her last week..hmm..I think I might be defined as a bad friend. Look at that face, could she get any cuter?!?! Instead of eating lunch with us, she stayed with her Grandmother and got caught throwing pennies down the toilet. I am in trouble when Emily starts getting into things..how do you not just laugh at everything they do?
Look at Sophie being so motherly.

She really looks like a little doll..and I wish jeggings looked as cute on me as they do on her.

5 and 6 Months...
I am horrible at posting her monthly photos. Emily is SIX months now. I know everyone always says this, but it really is crazy how fast the time flies by. Emily is such a happy baby, and from what we are told, she is quite the entertainer at daycare. Thankfully, those first three months did not indicate what kind of baby Emily was going to be..she really is just the happiest little girl now.
1/2 a year!

She is eating baby food twice a day and still not a big fan of bottles. She is sitting up and talking up a storm. Her hair is INSANE and still sticks straight up despite any effort to brush it down, and she is FULL of personality. She has started paying a lot of attention to her sisters. Paying attention=pulling their hair. The girls have not seemed too excited about this, but have remained calm and still seem to tolerate her. I keep thinking once she starts throwing solid food at them, they will fall in love with her.

Emily is going to daycare three days a week and she seems to do very well. We LOVE her daycare and couldn't be happier with them. This picture is hilarious..they load up the babies in the "Cadillac" and push them up and down the hall. We are told that the little girl up front with Emily is her BFF. Apparently they just sit and babble at each other all day. Oh, to be a fly on that wall. =)

Goodbye Miracle Blanket, we will miss you.
Aaah, the Miracle blanket, it has truly been a miracle. Emily has slept in this mini straight jacket since she was around two weeks old. She has, for the most part, slept through the night since then. So what if the package says "newborn to 14 weeks"? Well, with Emily being 6 months old now (24 weeks), I guess it really is time to retire this thing. I really did try to make it last until she was 12 yrs. old, and I really want the company to consider making these in larger sizes.
Yes, it was absolutely necessary for me to cut a hole for her feet. No judging allowed.

Thank you, miracle blanket. Last night was not the same without you.

Happy EARLY Halloween!
I couldn't stand it any longer..I have had Emily's costume for months now and I had to get her in it. Anyone that knows us, knows that we are completely obsessed with our other two children. So, of course, we dressed Emily like her sisters! I am pretty sure my dogs officially think I am insane. Emily, you have a few years before the reality of how crazy I am sets in.

Sitting up?!?!
Last week, I sat Emily in her bouncy to watch a little Baby Einstein while I did some laundry. Usually she just lays back and enjoys her show...this time she would NOT lay back. She sat straight up for the entire thing! Silly girl..now she is trying to sit up by herself..of course she topples over a bit, but she is doing a pretty good job!
I am off some during the week, so we have tried to get the lovebirds together. This is their typical date.
She loves her exersaucer..and it's the only way I get a thing done around here.

SICK
Ok, she never even ran a fever..but she was so congested. I think I was more upset about this than she was. One thing she was upset about..the dreaded nasal aspirator. Sorry child, but if you can't blow your nose, how else is it going to come out?? You will thank me later.
Bad quality..but how cute? Poor girl was probably trying to figure out how to hide that from me!
Not feeling too hot..but still sassy as ever.
