Birthday Girl

On April 19, 2010, Emily Claire Chittick made her grand entrance into this world on her actual due date...scheduled to be induced the next day, but Emily was ready on her own. An entire year ago?? I'm not sure I believe this. What a funny, dramatic little girl we have..she is quite a character. So on April 19th this year we celebrated our sweet girl's first birthday..I'm not going to lie, I also celebrated that this year on the 19th..I can see my ankles and I am not the size of a small mansion. What better way to celebrate this than Gibson's donuts and Mexican for dinner?

So my cousin's little Lucas turned 2 a few weeks ago..and his mother threw him a birthday bash (he probably had more guests than my wedding) complete with a LIVE Minnie and Mickey. She definitely knows how to throw a party. Now, let me back track..my sweet child is slightly obsessed with Mickey...say his name and her face instantly lights up. If Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on...don't even try to interrupt her during the "Hotdog song", or you will get "the look".

A Day in the Life...

I absolutely adore the sweet ladies that take care of Emily during the week...one of them sends sweet pictures of their daily adventures.  This just makes my day..I mean could they get any cuter?

11 MONTHS..

This photo shoot was filled with drama.

 She calmed down after I stuck her in a basket...silly girl.

One more month and you will be a toddler! I can't even handle this. Let's see..at 11 months you have added pointing at EVERYTHING. It's precious.  I also have to add in here one of your obsessions so I never forget it.  Your Memy has this singing bear with a purple hat that sings "I Will"..an old Beatles song.  Emily, I am so tired of that song..but you are slightly obsessed with this sweet bear.  During mini meltdowns in the car..all I have to do is call Memy and get that song on speakerphone..works every time.

Cabin Fever

Thank goodness for warmer weather...Emily + her Mother cooped up in a condo with nothing to do = drama. I believe I am boring/getting on my child's nerves. So, yesterday...we got out and went to the zoo, despite Emily not feeling too hot. I have to say I have not been to the zoo since I was around 10 years old..but it's so nice and will give us a way to avoid cabin fever!

Thankful

I love to blog stalk...and have read so many blogposts lately about sick babies and families who have lost their little ones. It really makes you appreciate your child, even on the days you want to pull your hair right out of your head. Praying for those families..and so thankful for my sweet, healthy little girl.

Double Digits

10 MONTHS..into the double digits, little girl. You are into everything in sight! Cruising,sleeping through the night (you partied during the middle of the night for a little while there), doing better with that sippy cup, giving hugs and kisses, waving bye bye, "barking like bella", feeding yourself and Bailey, and entertaining us on a daily basis. I ordered your birthday banner and booked your 1 yr photo shoot..tear...you are such a big girl now.

 Wouldn't be a photo shoot without a little drama...look at those teeth!
